HCE Global Education Center Selected as the Best Partner Education Center

Hyundai Construction Equipment’s Global Education Center received the honor of being selected as the Best Partner Education Center (A-Grade) at the awarding ceremony for excellent partner education centers held by the National Consortium for Human Resource Development.

National Consortium for Human Resource Development: Growing Together, Cooperating with Each Other

National Consortium for Human Resource Development is a representative project for developing occupational capability led by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. The project involves verified corporations or institutions providing education or training to smaller companies that relatively lack the ability to educate their employees to enhance their work proficiency. The consortium selected HCE’s Global Education Center as a partner institution for the construction equipment industry in July 2020. Since then, the education center has conducted numerous programs centered on improving the occupational capability of employees from the partnered companies.

Creating a fluid cooperation structure with our partners through the consortium project, Global Education Center operates education that resembles the field and aims to reinforce the competitiveness of smaller businesses by strengthening their employees’ abilities as well as promoting mutual growth and cooperative relationship among large conglomerates and smaller enterprises.

Selected as the Best Partner Education Center

Since the launch of the consortium project, HCE’s Global Education Center shared various technological know-how with the local community and non-partners through programs such as maintenance and driving training for construction machines including excavators, forklifts, and wheel loaders. The center also provides training for newer models equipped with eco-friendly and smart features. Moreover, at the request of partnered companies, the center provides additional customized training not included in the regular curricula. Global Education Center is currently preparing programs that help recruits to the partner companies adapt to the field to alleviate the lack of personnel.

Every year, 500+ workers from 270+ partnered businesses participate in the education/training programs that HCE’s Global Education Center operates. As of this May, 400+ participants took their training and it is expected that more than 800 workers will have finished their training by the end of 2022. Crediting the center’s active participation in the project, the consortium selected the Global Education Center as the Best Partner Education Center on its first center evaluation.

Kim Seonghwan, a team manager from the Global Education Center, commented that the recognition means a lot as the center’s cooperation with the partners amidst the Covid-19 pandemic resulted in great honor. “We will continue to promote mutual growth along our partners and assist them to reinforce their competitiveness,” Kim continued. Hyundai Construction Equipment’s Global Education Center will continue its role as a reliable supporter for our partners through our participation in the consortium project.
