HD Hyundai, Presenting 'Ocean Transformation' in CES 2023!

Hyundai Construction Equipment participated as a member of HD Hyundai (formerly Hyundai Heavy Industries) at CES 2023 held in Las Vegas from last Jan 5th to 8th. It was the second participation following the last CES 2022. 'CES(Consumer Electronics Show)' is one of the world's largest IT and electronics exhibitions along with the 'IFA' in Berlin, Germany, and 'MWC' in Barcelona, Spain.

HD Hyundai in the convention center(LVCC) exhibited a marine vision of a sustainable future and attracted a large crowd. President of HD Hyundai, Ki-Sun Jung, presented 'Ocean Transformation' that will change the perspective and use of the ocean with infinite potential.

HD Hyundai's exhibition hall is about 180-Pyeong and is categorized into four themes: Ocean Mobility, Ocean Wise, Ocean Life, and Ocean Energy.

In particular, in the area of ocean mobility, we have demonstrated a safer and more economical future vessel based on unmanned and remote digital solutions. Using a mock-up's hull, which reproduced the shape of the future ship, we realistically introduced energy-saving and eco-friendly low-carbon fuel propulsion technology.

Also, based on technologies such as Smartship solutions that suggest optimized sailing routes, the expansion of marine leisure experiences, and an ocean-floating structure, we proposed a sustainable energy ecosystem vision from the production, transportation, and utilization of marine energy.

'CES 2023' was a meaningful event to challenge the new future of the marine era based on the 50 years of HD Hyundai's experience and differentiated technology capabilities. Since HD Hyundai is introducing future marine strategies in various aspects such as economy, energy, and environment, HCE will also put more effort to become a reliable pillar of the HD Hyundai.
